The temple of gluttony !
It is located near to the Taichung Train Station on the bank of Luchuan.
Previously built in 1927 and used by a Japanese as a specialized eyes clinic during the Japanese occupation period in Taiwan, this building is now wonderful.
It was totally destroyed during the earthquake 921 (21/09/1999), followed by a major typhoon.
The pastry "Dawn Cake", well-known for its pineapple cake, bought it and renovated it in 2010. The pastry decided to preserve Miyahara's original red-brick walls and archway.
It is thanks to this initiative that we now know such a magnificent building containing as many gustatory wonders.
Its interior architecture is exceptional. it combines the old, with in particular a lot of waxed wood and mirror with the modern and very colorful appearance of the products sold.
All the products are perfectly arranged, and the vendors are always ready to help us to understand what these mysterious andbeautiful boxes contain.
So, if you have the opportunity, take a look to admire this architecture. In addition, you will be rewarded with Dawn Cake's famous pastries, bubble tea and ice cream.
